Identity

OACS is a service and advocacy organization dedicated to quality and justice for Christian schools in Ontario.

Mission Promises:

The OACS, an incorporated board of education established in 1952, interprets its mission to advance Christian education in four broad dimensions:

  1. Providing professional solutions for typical administrative problems occurring in the operation of independent faith-based school through membership services.
  2. Encouraging quality assurance in areas of education, finances and human resources through regular external reviews of the school’s policy standards.
  3. Assisting with strategic management to guide school leadership in the areas of governance, advancement, development and dispute resolutions through custom consultations.
  4. Building community for the future through the support of dialogue networks, the publishing of exemplary programs and the care of a living legacy.

We pledge to undertake public advocacy in order to:

  • ensure a just treatment for Christian schools in the OACS
  • promote financial equity for parents throughout the Province
  • create a friendly education policy environment for all independent schools in Ontario
