Antoine de Saint-Exupery said, " If you want to build a ship, don't herd people together to collect wood and don't assign them tasks and work but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea."

As Christians we might say, "If you want to build the Kingdom of Heaven, don't herd students together to memorize doctrine and don't assign them meaningless tasks and busy work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the love and kindness and grace and forgiveness of the Lord."

Recently read this quote, not sure who to give credit to, but the words echo our goals of moving forward with deeper learning and more authentic work.
