Vision is the insight God provides to instruct and direct the path of an organization. Our Vision Statement is as follows: CCS will be known as a diverse Christian community which, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, provides families with Christ-centred education through dynamic programming, dedicated professional staff, in facilities most conducive to learning, in order to develop responsible servants in God’s world.

Title: Development Manager

Reports to: Principal (CEO)

Job Type: Full time

Vision & Key Role:

We are seeking a Development Manager with a passion to see growth in the Christian education sector, specifically at and through CCS.

The key role of the Development Manager is to improve the revenue of CCS and its programs by expanding the donor composition, broadening the donor base, and affirming ties within the community to grow the giving of the existing donor base.

Job Requirements:

The Development Manager is responsible to:

Create and implement an overall donor strategy for annual and ongoing solicitation, as well as growing the donor database.
Develop & execute an Alumni donor acquisition, cultivation and retention plan.
Identify and build upon potential corporate and church funding sources.
Enhance the capacity of volunteers and staff to fundraise through coaching and developing straightforward techniques for asking for support.
Work with the Principal and Finance Committee to establish funding priorities and develop an integrated work plan to meet these priorities.
Ensure that all reporting requirements are met.
Coordinate a capital campaign (future).
Other related duties as required.

Skills Required:

The ideal candidate would possess the following skills:

Ability to create and conduct presentations, and to make the “ask” from donors/potential donors
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a positive customer service attitude, and the ability to network
Able to coordinate and motivate volunteers at times, as well as work independently at times
Database software experience including customer relationship management (donor) databases
Able to work well under pressure and meet set priorities.

CCS is a supportive community of Christian believers, from a variety of denominational backgrounds, who choose to educate our children from a Biblically-based worldview. As a Christian ministry, candidates must be able to demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ, as well as identify with our Statement of Faith and the mission of CCS.
