MEDIA COVERAGE

Context

  1. On July 23, 2007 Mr Tory announced his fair-funding for faith-based schools platform at a press conference at Queen’s Park.

  2. The majority of the editorials that day were negative, replaying the old slogans from the past.

  3. In August a number of brave columnists began attacking Premier McGuinty’s opportunism and obvious hypocrisy.

  4. In early September a number of newspapers sent reporters to OACS and Jewish schools to find out for themselves what kind of education “they” gave at faith-based schools.

  5. By late September the reports are in and the issue of fair-funding is getting balanced coverage.
