9 Christian Schools Lace Up their
Skates
Friday February 8, 2013
The Timothy
Christian School (TCS) hockey team, the Timothy Knights,
hosted the Founders' Cup, the school's annual hockey tournament, on
Feb. 4. Nine teams from area Christian schools — Alliston,
Barrie, Burlington, Hamilton, Jordan, Oshawa, Peterborough, Stouffville,
and Trenton — laced up their skates for a day of hockey beginning
at 8 a.m. The
day ended with a tie between Stouffville and the host team. After
a nail-biting shootout of 10 rounds, Timothy Knights' defenceman,
Jakeb Huitema, scored the winning goal.
The Founders’ Cup is a hockey tournament named in honour of
Timothy Christian School’s founding board members.
