![]() Basketball Tournament Builds Character Timothy Christian School in Barrie hosted a basketball tournament Feb. 21. Girls and boys teams from six Christian schools from Alliston, Barrie, Holland Marsh, Orangeville, Orillia and Owen Sound competed for the championship title. The boys' final saw TCS facing off with Orillia Christian School. TCS won with a score of 32-16. The girls' final involved Holland Marsh Christian School and TCS competing in a nailbiting finish with Holland Marsh narrowly beating Timothy with a 5-4 victory. “At TCS, the big picture in sports is developing Christian character," says TCS principal Rod Berg. "That means students playing at their highest potential and honouring God and others in the process of life in how they conduct themselves. Sports is a wonderful way to foster and grow these type of anchor-points and values in young people."
