Sarnia Christian School receives government grant
Friday May 18, 2012 -- Jennifer Neutel
Sarnia Christian School has received funding through the Government of Canada’s Enabling Accessibility Fund to improve accessibility for people who have a disability through two projects at the school.

Announced this week, the first project is creating an inclusive playground where children of all abilities can play together. The second project involves accessibility upgrades to the school’s gym, used by community groups throughout the year.

The Enabling Accessibility Fund supports Canadian community-based projects that improve accessibility, remove barriers, and enable Canadians with disabilities to participate in and contribute to their communities.

More than 800 projects across the country have been supported through the fund, including 188 new projects totaling $6.2 million that were recently announced.
